PLANETARY ASPECTS Week 6/4/2018-6/10/2018

Mercury and Sun conjunct in Gemini – Tuesday 6/5/2018 7:01:41pm Pacific Time (15d 20m)

Symbol (La Volasfera) - A man sitting upon his heels and breaking stones with a hammer

This conjunction marks the beginning of a cycle that will last through Wednesday 8/8/2018. There is a very clean, easy energetic exchange here, with Mercury in his own sign with this conjunction and the Sun in his own sign in the next conjunction. Additionally, with Mars ruling the face of the conjunction degree, and the planet Mars still in a trine with the conjunction, this transit will be a helpful one for clearing mental debris and getting a fresh perspective. The energy of Mars supports removal of clutter. What have you been allowing to steal your attention and your energy, and what do you need to get out of the way in order to get and stay highly focused on things that need to get done? Grab your hammer and start smashing the stones that have accumulated, and the flow of mental energy will be free and easy.

Venus in Cancer opposition Pluto in Capricorn – Tuesday 6/5/2018 7:24:57pm Pacific Time (20d 50m)

Symbols: Venus (La Volasfera) - A waning moon, amid a bank of clouds, dimly reveals a ship at sea, but all disabled; Pluto (Charubel) – A ferry boat in the act of taking people across as a wide deep stream

At their best, oppositions present an opportunity for even exchange and negotiation; at their worst, they set the stage for a tug of war in which neither side will give or receive, with both parties only concerned with coming away from the confrontation with as few injuries as possible. In her own term, Venus is in a position of strength in this opposition, and there is much intuitive and positive emotional energy flow through good aspects to both planets from Jupiter and Neptune, who perfected their trines with Venus last week. Use this configuration of trines, sextile and oppositions to consider what it is that you are missing in one or more important relationships, and how the relationship(s) can grow so that mutual satisfaction can occur. Venus’s nature is that of reciprocity, while Pluto tends to adhere to an all or nothing philosophy, and as such, he is difficult to negotiate with. This may find reflection with each of us falling on one side of the fence or the other, appealing for change or resisting it. Remember that it is always best to introduce change by offering a gift, which can be an item just as well as it can be an experience or a kind deed. Gifts are truly magical because they are charged with the spirit of well intentioned exchange. If you are on the other side of this dynamic, consider how you may be resisting change and holding out for something unrealistic or unfair, and how you may be able to soften in order to allow or restore harmony. If there is willingness to see things as they are and to get to the heart of whatever is difficult or painful in the process of relating, there is a strong likelihood that magical, inspired transformation will happen.

Mercury in Gemini square Neptune in Pisces – Wednesday 6/6/2018 7:07:07am Pacific Time (16d 27m); then, Sun in Gemini square Neptune in Pisces – Wednesday 6/6/2018 10:57:43pm Pacific Time (16d 27m)

Symbols: Sun and Mercury (Sabian) – The Head Of A Robust Youth Changes Into That Of A Mature Thinker; Neptune (La Volasfera) – A man falling with upraised arms between the parting timbers of a broken bridge

The Sun and Mercury are fortified in their conjunction earlier this week, and then come to be tested in this square with Neptune, which can present all sorts of confusing distractions and obstacles for the newly refreshed and strengthened mind. When we experience cleansing at any level of our being, it is amazing how quickly people and situations arise that challenge the newly purified state. What is really happening is nature attempting to reintroduce balance, and indeed, it is true that the mind must continue to do what it is meant to do – process, examine, learn, discern, and decide. However, it is up to the conscious person to allow in (to the best of our ability) only what is good and appropriate. At the position of Gemini in which the Sun-Mercury conjunction occurs this week, the face is ruled by volatile Mars, and indeed, this is a point in the zodiac that does have trouble discerning between what is good and what is bad for us, because there is a strong desire for all incoming information and experience to be processed. This transit is a very good opportunity to hold true to the path chosen and to strengthen our mental powers against being swayed away from the path or goal that we have focused our minds on. Watch your mental processes carefully to see how and why you are drawn in various directions, and work to adjust your patterns and programming so that you are less vulnerable of being led astray into pitfalls. At that point, your mind will acquire a single pointedness that can punch through any manner of difficulty like it isn’t even there.
